Meet the Author
Born in the vibrant town of Asebe Teferi in West Hararge and shaped by experiences across Ethiopia, Meron Ghetnet is a true multidisciplinary artist whose talent transcends mediums.
A poet at heart and a performer by craft, Meron has brought characters to life on stage, screen, and airwaves. Her rich artistic journey includes celebrated appearances in:
- TV dramas like Gemena and Dana
- Films such as YeteKefelebet and the internationally acclaimed Difret
- Radio dramas like Qechen Fikir and Qana Zema
- Stage plays including Fresh Man, Elebat, and Qitiltil Kokeboch
- And hosting iconic programs like Ethiopian Idol and ETV’s Question & Answer Show
Beyond the spotlight, Meron has served as a master of ceremonies on some of Ethiopia’s grandest stages and earned numerous awards and acknowledgments for her artistic excellence.
But her voice doesn't stop at performance — it carries a purpose. As a volunteer ambassador for local and international humanitarian organizations, and a member of the Young African Leaders who visited President Barack Obama’s White House, Meron continues to use her platform to uplift, advocate, and inspire.
A proud wife and mother of two beautiful daughters, Meron now turns inward — and offers you a glimpse into her soul. This poetic collection is more than words; it is a reflection of her personal journey, full of emotion, resilience, and grace.
We invite you to read, reflect, and connect.
